Cambodia 2019

Cambodia Go Project 2019
Mission Trip Dates: July 29th through August 7th

The Purpose:

One of our newest Open Bible works is in Cambodia. Cambodians suffered years of terrible civil war and endured the Killing Fields era.

Global Missions along with Lifesong Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines, Iowa established the Lifesong Learning Center which has made a huge impact on this community. Hundreds of people have been saved through the ministry of the center.

One of Global Missions visions for the Lifesong Learning Center is to provide training to children and young people so that they don’t fall into the trap of human trafficking, which is so prevalent in Cambodia.

Global Missions wants to provide these children and young people with hope and a future that will not only transform their lives but also the lives of their entire families. Global Missions will equip the vocational training center located on the Lifesong Learning Center property with sewing machines, laptops, and other supplies which will allow Lifesong the ability to offer computer training and sewing classes.

In order to provide effective ministry and training for the Lifesong Ministry Center, they will need sustainable power. The electricity is intermittent. The facility needs a backup power source. Turning Point Open Bible is raising $25,000.00 to help put in a solar panels system. In July of 2019 we will be sending a team of people that will help install the Solar Panels and partner in ministry with our missionaries. The team will also do the following: Vacation Bible School for the children of Lifesong Ministry Center, medical support to the seven surrounding villages and evangelism services.
